Look at it. It's terrifying...

Upcoming Music w/ James Tha Deejay, BIZNITCHES!

I just updated the project page to include this little bit o' news:

"Under the Danger Squad Records label, we're slated to release an EP featuring three original tracks and their remixes with Los Angeles-area DJ and music producer James tha deejay and Grammay-award nominated sound engineer Glenn Suravech. Yet to be titled, the mini-album will feature pop/dance tracks catering to a nerdcore audience including:

  • I win at s3x: a tongue-in-cheek pop track with sexy lyrics composed almost entirely of gaming references and double entendres (games referenced include Mass Effect, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Portal, and many more).
  • Space Cowboy: a dance track that pays homage to the rogues, ruffians, browncoats and scruffy-lookiung nerf herders of science fiction (movies/shows referenced include "Star Trek", Star Wars and "Firefly")
  • Batsuit (coming soon!): a love/lust song dedicated to Batman."

Batman: Death Wish

What happens when the writer/creator of Street Fighter High teams up with a director that happens to have an encyclopedic knowledge of Batman and... oh... MOVIE-QUALITY BATSUITS?

A Batman fan film, that's what!

It's been a longtime fantasy of mine to be able to write and produce something Batman related, and thanks to some rare down time, some last minute help from an Indian special FX team that worked on "Tron," lucky breaks and close associations with some truly amazing people like director Matthew Hiscox, it happened.

And it's doing gangbusters! 50,000 hits in 2 weeks, and counting. Reviews have made comparisons to "Dead End" and "Grayson" -- some of the best Batman fan films of all time. I'm proud to present "Batman: Death Wish" - a fan film featuring Batman, Nightwing, Robin, Riddler, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and yours truly as Cassandra Cain/Batgirl. Enjoy! And check out the official site for behind-the-scenes goodies.

"I Win in Bed/I Win at Sex " - A Love Song to Gaming

... or rather sex song. It's packed full of gaming references and shameless innuendo, and I am SO proud of this one. I have the amazing producer James Tha Deejay of Danger Squad Recordz to thank for this, as well as the incomparable sound engineer and one of my best friends on this planet, Glenn Suravech. Check out this write-up by the good folks at the Jace Hall Show (deep bow of gratitude to them!)

"Dead Inside" -- in the can!

After 2.5 breakneck months in pre-production and 30 grueling days of production, dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to...

Wait. Lemme start over.

We wrapped principal photography on Dead Inside.

Lots of news to come, but for now, you can hear an interview with the cast and director here:

Announcing "Dead Inside"

Strange journey. About a year ago, I wrote a script for a fan film, gathered friends and dipped recklessly into my bank account to churn out something silly and irreverant and fun. And then two months later, I did it again. And today I, along with director Pearry Teo - an amazing master of his craft, whose films have been distributed by Lionsgate - announced that for the past month or so, we've been in production on a feature film, thanks to some generous Silicon Valley investors who watched "Street Fighter High" and decided to take me seriously as a screenwriter and a filmmaker anyway.

I kid, I kid. I love me my SFH, and always will. And hopefully before the years' end, you'll be seeing a third installment ;)

But for now, I'm humbled, and I'm thrilled, and I'm JAZZED to present to you the Facebook page for "Dead Inside" - an original horror film I wrote and am producing. Over the next months I will have the pleasure of watching Pearry Teo bring his vision for this film to life. "Like" this puppy to read our production updates, and wish us luck!

Horror Film in the Works

Not too many details to report just yet, but the search for funding on a new horror film I've written has gotten off to a promising start, with a phenomenal director attached who specializes in the seriously twisted.

When contracts are signed and we are in production, I'll break the news here!
