The Worldly, Non-Profit RELAUNCH

In 2001, I started a campus zine at UCLA devoted to world culture and travel. In 2003, that zine became UCLA's first (and, ultimately, longest-running) web magazine. In 2005, we began an initiative to support international charities and local culture groups with the publication. We applied for and obtained Non-Profit Organization status (high-five!).

In 2008, we went on hiatus with the goal of a site overhaul, but in this time, many of our staff members saw their efforts diverted to other career ambitions. There was a lull.

BUT NOW WE'RE RELAUNCHING, BECAUSE THE WORLDLY IS THE SHIZNIT, YO! But also because in these hard times/times of crisis, charity is hard to come by, and compassion for our fellow man becomes ever more important as globalization draws us closer.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be reposting all our old material on the revamped site. Look for NEW articles and new charitable initiatives coming soon! It's the all-new Worldly Web Magazine!
